2019 Korean Traditional Culture Programme


■ Programme Purpose : Inviting students from abroad who are competent in Korean Language to introduce Korean traditional culture and Confucian culture and thoughts.


■ Date : 2019. 8. 27(Tuesday) ∼ 30(Friday), 4 Days 3 Nights


■ Place : Gangneung City, Gangwon-do, Republic of Korea


■ Participants : About 15 Persons from Asia, America, Europe ect.


■ Eligibility :


1) University[college] Students who are competent in Korean Language


2) The round-trip airfare must be self-paid


■ Supported by Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Korea


■ Hosted by Yulgok Society

1. Lectures


▸Traditional Manners in Korea


▸Traditional Plays and Farm Music in Korea


▸Yulgok Yi-I and Korean Confucianism


▸Korean Wave and Korean Confucianism


2. Field Study


▸Manners : Try-on Korean Traditional clothes, Hanbok. Bow down


▸Food Experience : Korean Tea, Tea food, Kimchi, Bibimbap, Kimbap etc.


▸Folk Games : Tuho, Jegi Chai, Yutnori


3. Exploration


▸Ojukhun, Kyungpo-dae, Gangneung Hyanggyo etc.


4. Others


▸Lodging : O-Juk Korean Traditional Village


▸Experience Place : Yulgok Society's Seminar Room


Schedule


Day 1


Arrived in Korea : Get together at Museum of Korea Culture on the 4th Floor of Incheon Int'l Airport Terminal 1


Go to Gangneung by Chartered bus


Enjoy dinner on the beach and stay at Gangneung O-Juk Korean Traditional House


Day 2 & 3


09:00~10:00 Lectures


10:00~11:30 Field studies


11:30~13:00 Lunch


13:00~18:00 Field studies


19:00~21:00 Night trip


Accommodation : Gangneung O-Juk Korean Traditional House


Day 4


Go to Seoul by Chartered bus and dismiss (or departure)
