2021 1st Special Korean Webinar
“More than politeness : Intercultural Pragmatics of Korean Dramas and Films”


The lecture series will discuss the basis of Korean politeness and other pragmatic attributes specific to the Korean language, which are extremely crucial to master the language, yet are hard to acquire for learners of Korean with limited interactional opportunities with Korean speakers. Each lecture will be accompanied by popular Korean drama and film clips and we will have some interactive sessions to enable learners’ participation.
